Objective: Outline three experiential design concepts for Dick's Sporting Goods.
When was the last time you went to a store? Perhaps, like many, you've opted for the comfort of shopping from home and buying that cool pair of sneakers without ever getting up off the couch. In an era where we can get everything we need delivered to us while barely lifting a finger many retailers are looking for ways to bring shoppers back into their stores. We helped Dick's create a one-of-a-kind in-store experience to motivate customers to shop in-person. I worked with our creative directors strategy team to translate insights into design concept narratives that would evoke emotion and help sell our ideas to Dick's. Different qualities of these concepts ended up being combined with the result being Dick's House of Sport, a first of its kind store.
